UNIT 4. Past Habits, Habits&Leisure Time
Welcome to the last unit (for the moment).
In this occasion we are going to talk about past habits and current habits, as well as hobbies. This kind of vocabulary is very important when you are taking the speaking part of an official English exam. Plus, we will learn the use of "would" to express past habits.
I really hope you do enjoy this unit.

Task 3
The most common used expressions when talking about habits in the past is "used to" and "would". On the image on the left, there is a great explanation of how each of them is used.
You must remember that the negative form is always made with "Didn't use to" and that "would" can NEVER be used with stative verbs (love, hate, feel, believe, understand, know, have, live, etc). Click here for a list of stative verbs.
Once this is clear, you can do task 3, where you have to decide wether it can be used "would", "used to" or both
Task 4
Speaking
Record yourself speaking about your past habits using "would" and "used to". Also, mention some of your daily habits and things you like to do and submit it to the submission section.
